  24. 1.)  Remove top cover like explained in your OPERATING MANUAL.
  25.  
  26. 2.)  On backside of display unit there is a brown jumper wire near the large
  27.      ribbon cable.
  28.  
  29. 3.)  Cut this jumper wire.
  30.  
  31. 4.)  Turn radio on and set display for 12.345.6 and then turn radio off and
  32.      then back on.
  33.  
  34. 5.)  This enables the general coverage mode and a GEN display will appears on
  35.      at the top of the LCD display.
  36.  
  37. 6.)  Reassemble the unit.  It will now transmit between 1.5 and 30 MHZ.
